Maxime earned his bachelor’s degree in architecture from the Université de Montréal in 1994, and has been a member of the Ordre des Architectes du Québec since 1996. He also holds a seal of the Ontario Association of Architects.

Before embarking on his adventure with Les Ensembliers, Maxime was Construction Project Coordinator for the American Embassy in Ottawa, and Project Director for the Sagard Manor design-build. In 2003 and 2004, he founded the firm Maxime Vandal Architectes, the Les Ensembliers design studio and the Gestion Les Ensembliers construction company.

In 2007, Maxime successfully created a unique high-end residential design-build group by merging the 3 companies he owned.

In 2010, he won his first award for patrimonial conservation.

In 2015, after successfully designing and building some of the most prestigious residential projects in Quebec and perfecting the art of renovating historical houses, Maxime established an office in Toronto to support the growth of the organization.

In 2016, he branched out into international product licensing with fabrics, carpets, hardware and wallpaper collections.

Today, he cumulates over 25 years of experience and skills and is invested in the group he runs with his partner Richard Ouellette. Maxime serves as Chief Architect at MVA, and is Chairman of the Board at Les Ensembliers.
