Breathing life back into an iconic home

We were privileged to embark on this project when our long-time clients reached out with great excitement. They discovered a gem suspended in time and space: an extraordinary apartment conceived over two decades ago by visionary architect Dan Hanganu.

The Japanese signature and design had been impeccably preserved, and our clients were able to acquire the pristine dwelling because its late owner had passed. Les Ensembliers embarked on a journey to reimagine the apartment's functionality, redesign the kitchen, and refresh various surfaces—all while preserving the essence of the original design.

Our trusting clients granted us carte blanche to craft a decor that remained faithful to the architect's vision. The resulting design is a masterpiece of simplicity, restraint, and purity. It is a celebration of tranquility, allowing the surfaces to harmonize and the clients' art collection to shine. One of the standout features is a custom bronze branch in the dining area, reminiscent of a delicate Japanese blossom branch gracefully suspended in the space. Its presence never fails to take your breath away.

This project was a chance for us to not only preserve history, but also elevate it to new heights. It's a testament to the enduring power of design and the beauty of honoring the past while embracing the present.
